Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The PAC is comprised of parents of children with a wide range of special needs who are in special education in Ionia County. These parents represent the local school districts of Ionia County and are recommended by their local school boards. The districts represented include: Belding, Coon, Grattan Academy, Haynor, Ionia, Lakewood, North LeValley, Palo, Portland, and Saranac.

The PAC’s primary purpose is to review the Special Education Plan for Ionia County and provide the parents who they represent with a voice in that planning. They also provide advisory input on improving special education services in the county. The membership represents the variety of educational needs of students enrolled in special education throughout the county.

To learn more about the PAC of Ionia County, visit them on the Ionia County ISD website at: www.ioniaisd.org or contact Ionia County ISD at (616) 527-4900 for more information.
