Pay It Forward Foundation
Paying for Youth-Initiated Service Projects
The Pay It Forward Foundation offers grants to fund service-oriented projects designed by youth to support their school, neighborhood or greater community.
Eligibility: Youth leaders, school staff and youth-group representatives.
Award: $50-500
Deadlines: October 15, January 15 and April 15

 

The Southern Poverty Law Center
Mix It Up Grants
The Southern Law Poverty Center awards grants to support youth-directed programs and projects that address social boundaries in schools or communities.
Eligibility: Ongoing youth-directed projects
Award: $500
Deadline: Ongoing

 

National Education Association Foundation
Innovation Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants
The National Education Association Foundation provides grants for the purpose of engaging in high-quality professional development or implementing service-learning.
Eligibility: Public School and higher education teachers, faculty or staff
Maximum Award: $2,000 for individuals and $5,000 for groups
Deadline: Rolling, applications reviewed three times per year.

 

Field Trip Grants from Target
Target Website
The Target Field Trip Grants program is an innovative, non-restrictive grant initiative designed to fund field trips for students across the country. Eight-hundred grants of $1,000 each will be awarded. Examples of the type of field trip the Target Filed Trip Grants fund are: art, science and cultural museum visits, community service projects, civics projects, career enrichment opportunites, etc.
Applications will be accepted electronically between September 1 and November 1. Only one submission per applicant will be accepted.

 

Allstate Foundation
Allstate Website
The Allstate Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations, including public k-12 schools, for projects that are related to automobile and highway safety, homes and neighborhoods and personal safety and security. Under the personal safety and security initiative, programs that raise awareness of poverty, schild abuse, drugs and violence prevention are eligible for consideration. Applicants should safeguard against gangs, guns, sexual harassment and domestic violence. Grants typically range from $5,000 to $10,000. There are no deadlines.
