On April 17, 2009, members of YAC participated in a service activity to benefit the Ionia County RAVE shelter. The students were making pillows and blankets to donate for use by the mothers and children that stay at the shelter. The cost of the project was covered by service-learning funds at the ISD.  The students had a great time doing the project (which you can see by their faces in the pictures).  They also felt good about being able to contribute to the needs of others.
