Thank you so much to the many people that made Storybook Character Night at the Wagon Wheel a HUGE success!!  This evening raised $2100.00 for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ionia County. 

Thanks to the Rivertown Book Store, Cheecky Monkey’s, Roger Miller, DDS, Horrocks of Kentwood, Tom’s Food Center, Divine Auto Body, Farm Bureau Insurance, Fluff-n-Stuff, Chocolate Moose, Catherine Hoort, Wee-Grow Preschool, Epic Community Church, the Portland Party Store and the Greg Foote Family for their table sponsorships and to Keusch’s Super Station, Sassy, Star Nails, Electric Sunshine, Curves, Rivertown Book Store, Horrocks and the Amway Grand Plaza for donating items for the raffle.

A big shout out of thanks to the band Live Bait that kept the atmosphere festive in spite of long lines and to Chopper and the staff from the Wagon Wheel who kept the food coming.  A special thanks to the wonderful servers, Pat and Stacy Russman, Officer Pat Walters, Amanda Ferris, Brian Mishler, the Ionia ISD staff, Snow White and other special guests that made storybook characters come to life.  Most of all thank you to the many, many families from the community that came out to support this event.

I do apologize to those of you who had to wait in long lines and to those that had to leave without getting in.    The response was very overwhelming and we know that the next time we have a Story Book Character event in Portland will need more space, because you like to have fun!
