After 11 years as ICISD Superintendent, George Hubbard will retire. His last day is July 31st, at which time he and his wife Denise Hubbard plan to move to his grandfather's farm in northern Montcalm County where they'll spend the next nine months or so refurbishing the place.
“I plan to put on my carpenter's hat and do as much work on the old house as possible,” Hubbard said.
The couple would like to move into the house by next spring. In the interim Hubbard will spend some time in the fields hunting, one of his hobbies.
