    Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth/Rehabilitation Services (MELEG-MRS) helps persons with disabilities to prepare for, find, and keep jobs.  In addition to job placement assistance, services may include training, physical aids, tools and equipment, assistive technology, and support services.  
   A cooperative program with MDLEG-MRS and Ionia Intermediate School District encourages juniors and seniors in special education to access vocational services for jobs. 

Ionia County ISD

     The Special Education Department of the Ionia County Intermediate School District (ISD) links Special Education Services throughout the county and serves as an advocate for students who are at-risk of have disabilities.

   Ionia County Community Mental Health (CMH) offers a wide variety of supports and services. 
   Services are based on individual desires and interests designed to respond to the mental health needs of people with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance abuse.  Many services are available to students and families involved in transition through school.  Some examples include:  respite, counseling, psychiatric services, support coordination and advocacy.  CMH also has a school liaison available to attend IEP meetings to make recommendations and provide information.  To learn more about CMH, call (616) 527-1790.
